04newsliner07-10Scentsation, the popular cosmetics and perfumes shop, kick-started the holiday season with a summer festival at Park Towers, Karachi.

Zarmina Khilji, business development head for Scentsation, organised the event, which included a Karaja Makeover Contest from June 25-27, inviting young girls to the stalls to try out the brand, along with friends and family. Three girls were randomly selected to participate in six contests, held over the weekend, to give their mothers, friends or sisters makeovers. The winners were selected via an audience poll and screams of joy reverberated in the atrium as the winners received gift hampers from Karaja. During a break in the contest, one could see girls of all ages, glammed up in different shades of gloss and glitter, roaming the mall.

Experts from Ruth Paul Salon were also on hand to give the girls tips on make-up and skin care. Khilji said the girls had a ball and were grateful for the free makeovers, as some of them had to attend weddings or parties later in the evening. A dance contest was also held and once the performers came on the entire mall stopped to enjoy the show.
