Memories of Another Day

The missing person’s problem was as widespread then as it is now. People were picked up on the slightest suspicion or were handed over to the army by some undercover agents who had infiltrated the Baloch ranks. Many disappeared without a trace; among them was Asadullah Mengal, son of Sardar Ataullah Khan Mengal, and Ahmed Shah Kurd, an intrepid activist.
